Gerald Coulson
Gerald Coulson has been painting aviation art subjects professionally for over thirty years. His first love was aircraft, drawing them at every opportunity. His apprenticeship as an aircraft engineer and technician have allowed him an insight and intimate knowledge of the aircraft he paints. Nicolas Trudgian
Nicolas Trudgian is a landscape artist who paints in the time honoured tradition and it shows in his aviation art. After three years of formal training in fine art he became a teacher of the subject. After years of teaching he turned to painting full time. A study of his work shows his paintings have tremendous impact and detail . Simon Atack
Simon Atack always had his sights on becoming a professional painter and began drawing aircraft at an early age. After formal training at Wakefield College of Art where he studied design and illustration and finding it difficult to find a job, Simon Atack joined the RAF. When his service days were over he decided to become a professional artist. Working from his studio in a haunted farmhouse in Yorkshire, Simon's aviation art has achieved the recognition that his blend of natural talent and serious application deserves. John Shaw, a native of Nevada, USA, was born in 1961 and began his career in art and graphics in the early '80s. Beginning as an illustrator, Shaw created commercial artwork for a wide variety of clients..In 1993 his work took a major turn when he began creating paintings with an historical aviation theme, paying special attention paid to the World War II era. Over the last ten years John has gained a loyal and rapidly increasing following for his work making him one of the most highly regarded aviation artists in the US and an exciting prospect for collectors as his reputation and talent put him firmly on the world stage. Mark Postlethwaite started to paint aircraft on canvas at the age of 17 as a hobby. At the age of 27, he was elected to become the youngest Full Member of the Guild of Aviation Artists. Worldwide, his originals and prints can be found in many major museums and collections and his work has been featured many times on radio and television. He is basically self taught, and developed a style, when younger, based on his favourite artists of the time Frank Wootton, Michael Turner and the Airfix box art genius Roy Cross. Michael Rondot
Michael Rondot is well known in the military aviation world for his distinctive style of aircraft paintings and prints which have made him one of todays most widely collected aviation artists. During his 25 year career as a pilot in the Royal Air Force he flew over 5000 hours in combat jets, including Jaguar fighter bombers during the Gulf War, bringing a unique authority to his paintings that sets them in a class of their own. Gil Cohen
Gil Cohen studied under Henry C. Pitz at the Philadelphia College of Art. In 1955, Cohen served as artist with the SHAEF Headquarters, Military Intelligence U.S. Army in West Germany. His subsequent career as a freelance artist included service to a multitude of clients including the U.S. Information Agency, the National Park Service, Paramount Pictures and Bantam Books.Truly a "gold medal artist" Gil Gohen's exhibitions and awards are numerous. They include the National Military Park system, the Kennedy Center and the Pentagon. He has been awarded gold medals and best of shows by the American Society of Aviation Artists and has received the certificate of merit from the New York Society of Illustrators, as well as the Franklin Mint Award.
